Nutrition Consultations

Are you looking to partner with a Nutritionist to take your health and wellbeing to the next level?

In today’s fast-paced world, navigating the realm of nutrition can be challenging. With so much information on diets, trends, and supplements, it’s hard to know what’s reliable.

As a NZ Registered Nutritionist with a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition and Physiology, I combine my academic background with nearly a decade of people-centred professional experience spanning community, workplace, and private practice settings. This has led to an approach focused on building sustainable, realistic, and enjoyable nutrition habits – which is where the magic happens.

With a diploma in the culinary arts, I bring a unique lens to my private practice, embracing the idea that food should spark joy. My recommendations are designed to meet you where you’re at, with the sky the limit on where we can go.

Services on Offer

1. Initial Consultation

Ahead of our first session, you’ll receive a pre-consultation form to complete.

At our first appointment, spanning 60 minutes, I’ll get to know you. We’ll dive into your pre-consult form, explore your dietary and lifestyle habits, and collaborate together to craft a personalised plan. You’ll be educated on your recommendations, so you can acquire the practical knowledge and skills to apply your plan with success.

2. Follow-Up Consultation

At our 30 minute check-in’s, we’ll celebrate progress, address any challenges, build on your growing knowledge and skills, review any supplements you’re taking, with the ultimate goal of fine-tuning your plan.

The amount of ongoing support you need isn’t set in stone—it depends on your goals, journey, and personal preferences. Quick 15-minute touch-base check-ins are also available, but these can only be booked after at least one follow-up session.

Why work with a Registered Nutritionist? The term ‘nutritionist’ isn’t legally protected in New Zealand. Professional registration acknowledges those with relevant academic qualifications and experience in nutrition, demonstrate ongoing professional development, and adhere to standards set by recognised bodies, specifically The Nutrition Society of New Zealand (NSNZ).

In a nutshell, when you work with a Registered Nutritionist, you can trust in them. My fields of expertise, as determined by the NSNZ, are Nutriton Practice and Nutrition Communication.

Testimonials

“While everything Danijela advised worked well and was fun, I wish to specifically point out that her genuine curiosity and patience to understand and learn about about her client, and then personalise recommendations, was truly special.”
– Rohit

“I highly recommend Danijela. I came to her as I was totally confused about my diet; keeping in mind I travel often and have a family of men to feed! She altered the diet to suit me, and her suggestions and ideas were brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble, and I feel so much more positive about life after seeing her.”
– Tanya

“I wanted to work with a Nutritionist who would take a holistic approach to my health and approach to food, and Danijela was recommended by a good friend. My initial expectations were high, and Danijela completely exceeded these. She is thorough, knowledgable, diligent, flexible, and supported my health in a way that catered to my lifestyle. She’s extremely genuine and personable, and I felt completely supported every step of the way – it’s a decision and investment you will be very happy you made.”
– Anna

“After 39 years of thinking I know everything about food and training, I decided to add the advice of a nutritionist. I didn’t have high expectations and honestly thought I would be throwing my money away. With Danijela’s nutritional guidance, I had a six pack for the first time in my life, my eczema was gone, I had way more energy and felt in the best form of my life. Danijela’s style and input made me achieve a goal that I didn’t think was possible and has given me (and my family) life-changing tools and new perspective on the role of choices in food and nutrition. I couldn’t recommend Danijela more to anybody wanting to get more out of their body and life – it was one of the best investments I’ve made.”
– Matt
