I’ve just done my first recipe round up on the blog sharing all of N&T’s egg + toast recipe ideas, as well as tips for picking a nutritious loaf of bread!💃🍞

No matter whether you’re cooking breakfast, lunch or dinner, if you have an egg you have a meal. 

Offering oodles of culinary variety, eggs can be poached, boiled, fried, baked, scrambled, or in an omelette – and with each pairing perfectly with grainy toast🤙

With eggs a source of protein and fat, and whole grain bread a source of complex carbohydrate, the duo provides good nutrient diversity - fundamental for a breakfast that will keep you full for longer!

There’s a lot of value in being online and sharing your academic or professional passion. It’s a phenomenal way to communicate nutrition information, with opportunity to network, build a business and bring in new clients. 

Nutritionists, dietitians and food scientists are uniquely qualified and positioned to translate nutrition and food science into meaningful sound bites for the public, and are trained to provide evidence-based info through a critical objective lens. 

While social media is often popular for this, web-based food blogging has my heart💛

While it’s very versatile with its ingredients, it’s also versatile with how you enjoy it🤙

A cut slab is delicious hot or cold, and the perfect take-to-work lunch, weekend brunch, or picnic food. It’s an ideal recipe to meal prep ahead.

The longstanding annual event, powered by @masseyuni (and running since 1987), shines a spotlight on food and beverage products and Kiwi businesses at industry pinnacle, whether in food technology, production, manufacturing or marketing. 

From my time in ‘21, I experienced first-hand how robust and rigorous the judging process is, represented by a cross-section of industry expertise (e.g.  technical, culinary, scientific, commercial...). You can trust that any product wearing the NZ Food Awards quality mark is best of the best🙏🏻🏆

I'll be bringing a nutritional lens to the panel again, looking at how products might meet shoppers dietary needs and wants. 

Entries for 2022 are now open until 31st May and there is no product or business too small to enter.
